I finally had a churro. I didn't know it was a churro until I said, "This fried dough is great." Then John said, "That's not fried dough. It's a churro."
I also had tamales for the first time ever...ones that were sweet corn and ones that were filled with chicken and potatoes. Someone's grandmother made them for a party we went to. If I knew who that lady was, I would sneak into her house and make her teach me to make tamales. Delicoso.
